Salvador M. Equihua
A native Chicagoan of Mexican Indian ancestry, Sal is an accomplished artist who has spent more than thirty years working in the medium of art glass. He began working with stained glass as a 14 year-old apprentice in a Chicago glass studio. (Equihua is pronounced eh kee wah)

At the age of 21, he opened his own studio, producing commissioned architectural glass and lighting for homes and private collections throughout the United States. He currently resides in New Mexico.

Fusing, etching, sand carving, kiln-working, mouth blowing and painting, are among the variety of technques he incorporates into his glass work giving it a unique and distinctive quality.
